Terms and Conditions

Welcome to RCB Plumbing Ltd! These Terms and Conditions apply to all our services and ensure a clear understanding between us and our valued customers. By engaging with RCB Plumbing Ltd, you agree to these terms.

1. General Terms

These terms outline the rules for using our services, what you can expect from us, and your responsibilities as a customer.

The most recent version of these terms always applies and will be updated to reflect new services, changes in operations, or legal requirements.

2. Services Provided

Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Plumbing, heating, and drainage work.
  • Boiler servicing, repairs, and installations.
  • Emergency callouts.
  • Maintenance, system flushing, and related works.

We reserve the right to refuse or decline work at our discretion. All work will be carried out by qualified professionals.

3. Customer-Supplied Equipment Policy

We recommend using materials we supply to guarantee high-quality installations and long-lasting repairs.

We are not responsible for delays, faults, or incompatibilities caused by customer-supplied materials.

Any additional costs arising from the use of customer-supplied materials will be chargeable.

4. Quotes and Payment Terms

Fixed-price quotes include labour and materials; additional work will be agreed upon before being carried out.

A deposit (typically 50% of the job cost or total materials cost, whichever is greater) is required to secure bookings.

Payment for completed work is due upon receipt of the invoice. Late payments incur interest at 4% above the base rate until paid in full.

5. Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel their contract within 14 days under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 unless work is requested to begin immediately.

If work begins during this period and is later cancelled, customers are liable for costs incurred up to that point.

To cancel, notify us via phone or email, providing your name, invoice number, and job details.

6. System Flushing Disclaimer

System flushing is an effective method for cleaning heating systems but does not reverse corrosion or repair underlying faults.

While rare, leaks or system issues may arise during or after flushing due to pre-existing conditions.

Additional work required due to these issues will incur additional costs.

7. Guarantees

We offer a 12-month guarantee on workmanship, in addition to any manufacturer warranties.

Guarantees are voided if work or appliances are misused, tampered with, or repaired by others.

We do not guarantee work on systems over 10 years old or those in poor condition.

8. Liability

We are responsible only for issues directly related to our work and covered under our guarantee.

We are not liable for damages caused by unrelated faults, pre-existing issues, or work recommended but not carried out.

Customers are responsible for ensuring access to safe and functional stop taps, valves, and other system components.

9. Customer Satisfaction

If you are dissatisfied with our services, notify us in writing within 12 months of the work being completed.

We will inspect and, where necessary, carry out remedial work. Failure to notify us within this period may void your rights.

10. Title to Goods

Materials supplied by us remain our property until paid for in full.

We reserve the right to reclaim unpaid materials or tools if invoices are not settled.

11. Service Plan Terms

Our service plans ensure regular boiler maintenance to keep warranties active.

Loyal customers who maintain uninterrupted boiler service contracts with RCB Plumbing Ltd for the full warranty period are eligible for an extended 2-year warranty directly with us.

12. Offers and Incentives

Promotions are subject to specific terms and cannot be combined unless stated.

We reserve the right to modify or withdraw offers at our discretion.

13. Timekeeping and Delays

We provide 4-hour time slots and will notify you at least 30 minutes before arrival.

We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as supplier issues or emergencies.

14. Fitting Equipment Supplied by Customers

Using materials supplied by customers carries risks, such as incompatibility or delays.

We do not guarantee installations using customer-supplied materials and are not liable for faults or failures resulting from them.

15. Legal Compliance

All work complies with current regulations, including Gas Safe standards.

Contracts are governed by English Law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English courts.
